The Volunteer Resource Center is taking submissions of all mediums for our annual awareness art showcase and alternative gift-shopping forum, Eye Contact, taking place on December 5, 2012 from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
The theme of the forum this year is “addressing and raising awareness about the issue of modern day slavery through art.” Please e-mail all submissions to volunteer@colorado.edu. In your submission please include the following:
- The medium of the piece (photography, painting, film, written or spoken poetry, etc.)
- The length or size required for display
- A photo of the piece
- A written description of how the piece relates to the topic. For this, please take a minute to review the link on modern day slavery.
The last day we will accept submissions is November 26th, but we welcome and encourage early submissions! This will be a powerful and moving event and a great opportunity to display your art to the community.
